The American Club of Herrtfordshire can trace its early beginnings to the 1950’s when a regular
flurry of Americans would find themselves moving to the area for their work. Many members
moved with General Motors to work at Vauxhall or at the Shredded Wheat factory, owned in
part by General Mills.
Our membership has varied over its lifetime due to the constant arrival of families, many of
whom have spent years living in numerous parts of the world.
The members of the club are a valuable resource to each other especially those new to the UK or
Hertfordshire navigating life in new surroundings.
The American Club of Hertfordshire is a dues-paying association. Please use the contact form
and we will get back to you with further information. We are delighted you found us
